over us. All of our mess have appeared for all meals today & have kept them down. We are out of sight of land now Nell, so it would be along swim to land, about four hundred miles.
21/10/15 Weather much the same although the wind is very high I had a bad billious attack last night, the result of eating tinned peaches pears for tea, We had peaches the night before.
We are all learning semaphore signalling now. You remember how short my hair was cut, well they considered it too long today and they clipped it right off. I also had to be vaccinated again to day as the previous lots did not leave any marks. Arthur is not at all well and I am sending him along to the Doc. tonight. The food is still good, we had rabbitt today, and an issue of pickles, which we had for tea on bread and butter. Good for sea-sickness. I am writing three letters at once
