5.  as we cannot have too many, during this weather.  The things, Mums chemist friend, sent me were fine, & it was very thoughtful of you to enclose the salt.  It has come in very useful, as the Tommies gave me a dozen packets of pea-soup, before they left, & the salt improves it vastly.  Tell Mum not to worry, about the giddy effect of your socks, as the warmer you make them the cosier my feet will be.  You say "Arthur need not expect two letters a week," from you.  I should think not, or I'll want to know the reason why.  I wish he was with me now.  I'm glad, you think I behave myself in my first letter, & hope I have done so ever since.  Tell Jen that if she was a true sport, she would not pass remarks about crosses on a letter, even if there were several of them.  Did Jean hear from Victor - yet.  She's the limit alright.  They boys always rush the P.P you send on, & sometimes it goes altogether, its general favourite, next to the mail.  Re those photos, I suppose you have got the others I sent.  I told Roger what you said, & he wishes
