3. photos down at Tel-el Kebir, but only about four out of the first eight will be any good. So far I could not manage to get them developed printed, but will hold on to them until I strike a place where I can have them printed. The development, I had done down below, but he hadn't time to print.
We were issued with cigs last night, & it just about saved my life, as I had been without a smoke for about four or five days. I do not smoke very much but one misses it, when it is not to be had. Matches are also a great scarcity, but they are not allowed to be sent through the post. The toes have been playing up lately & I have often made up my mind to see the doc, to see if he could ease them, but keep putting the visit off, as he might want me to go to hospital to get them sliced &
