2. we were still together. By the way, thanks very much for not letting Harry, change your opinion of me, I dont think he meant all he said, even though I have been a bad boy sometimes. Of course, I have not been bad enough to get shoved in the guard tent, or shot at sunrise, but theres "never no knowing." So far I have not received any letters from any of the Hawkins family, but suppose Biddy will toe the scratch. I received another letter from Cousin Annie, explaining the whole mix up in regards to the different addresses. Everything is now clear, & I have about six different people in Edinburgh to write to now. It is rather hard luck, that Aunt Barbara is not as young as I thought, but it wont make any difference, as I know several folk older than I, who are very well worth knowing. Am pleased to hear, that Jen expects to have the garden finished by the time I get back, as for the tennis court, well, I'd feel very sorry to think that all the good work previously done, should be spoilt in my absence. I can see that I shall have several little jobs to complete on my return.
