Dear Nell,
Am sorry you were disappointed at my not receiving your letters, but you need not worry now, as I am getting them in galore although not more than I can do with . You cannot write too many. Am very pleased to hear you have at last broken f with Brierleys, as he was a regular pig. How is the new job. Pop little knows the treasure he has lost, he'll wake up soon, when it is too late. I have struck good luck, as I have been granted leave for twenty-four hours, & I am going into Cairo & I am going to turn Col MacAnderson up. This will be the first time I have been to Cairo, since I left the Aerodrome, nearly five weeks ago. I passed your congratulations on to John & he wishes me to thank you for same, Viv M told me about the long letter he had written the first day I met him.
