My dear Mrs. Onslow,

I had the pleasure of receiving your letter of the 3d Feb. and am glad to think that we may look forward to see you in England before very long.  As James is eighteen I suppose he has not much time to lose in entering upon his University carreer, though no doubt he is in good under Mr. Weigall for a little longer.  It is a great satisfaction to you to find him so steady and so attentive to his work at school, and that athletic sports has improved his health so much.  

Two of my sons, Allan and Donald took their Degrees at Oxford, the one
