I have however purchased a block of 2500 acres and can add to it so as to make a block of 5000 acres at once and ultimately to add sufficient to make a good sized sheep station, it is situated within 10 miles of the Inglewood Diggings and 18 miles from Bendigo, it is the commencement of the great plain, dead level, and without a tree, but skirting the forest, rather poor in quality, but excellent sheep country.  The worst thing about it is the scarcity of water, but I have no doubt but from wells & tanks, I can get a sufficient supply.  I am only paying £1 an acre for it.

The Emu started about 2 p.m. the weather is beautiful;  she must be approaching Cape Otway now, 9 p.m.  I hope they may get a week's fine weather so as to bring them round our S.W. Coast.

I sent you a telegram from your Brother about 3 p.m. also posted a letter from him.

Very sincerely yours

W. Campbell
