My dear Sir Wm. Macarthur,

On my return form the plains on Monday night I received your letter of the 11th together with Mr. Moriartys letter advising the intended sale of the Blocks D. & E.  I confess I could hardly fancy such a persecution on the part of any Ministry, with the recommendation of the C.C. of C. Lands to supend the sale till after the result of the appeal, but perhaps that recommendation was much qualified and in case it is I wish you could see or get
