I am glad to hear that all yours are so well.  Sir Geo. McLeay enquired particularly for your son James.  I expect to meet Mr. Onslow and his family at Sir Geo. McLeays on Saturday.

You must have too much to do with the management of the place without the assistance of a responsible Manager.

The passage via San Francisco is generally a smooth one, and when you come home you should come that way, as you wd. avoid seasickness very much.  Although a bad sailor I escaped it (seasickness) both in the Pacific and Atlantic.

Remember me kindly to Sir William and all your dear children and believe me,

Yours very sincerely

W. Campbell
