By simply reducing the upset price of land from 20/ to 10/ an acre, and allowing the Squatter to purchase one acre frontage and to the amount two acres back lands at 10/ each for every 20/ expended in improving the run, not exceeding ½ or 1/3 of his run, and allowing the free Selector to make a freehold of his grazing right by paying 20/ an acre for his frontage, and 10/ an acre for his back land, a law could be simply made by thus amending the present Act.
The land sold by auction paid for in cash; the other purchases by Squatters & free Selectors by five yearly instalments.
