My dear Mrs. Onslow,

I received your very kind letter of the 27th ult. and Mrs. Campbell and all the members of my family are truly grateful for your sympathy for us in our sore bereavement.  Our duty is to strive to submit with humble resignation to the will of our Heavenly Father, sore though the chastizement is to us at present.  Our term of life is only short in this fleeting world, and we know
