a hard working Squatter has been ruined by it.  I hope a few good seasons may follow.  The low prices of wool, cotton, iron &c. is trying to many manufacturers & farmers here, and landholders must eventually suffer, as the large importations of butchers meat will reduce prices.  We are trying Australian frozen mutton and find it fairly good and about 2/3ds the price of home bred.
