gone. Today I walked up 100 steps to the Museum half way up Scotts Monument and walked a mile without feeling any pain. I mention these facts to shew the value of the Carlsbad water &c. in the hope that you may benefit from their use.
Tell Mrs. Onslow that I had a kind note from Mrs. Norman, and that I paid a visit with my son Allan to Bromley Common. I saw Mr. Norman who told me he was 89 years of age. He has an affectionate regard for your late brother, and has a good knowledge of the Colonies; I promised to revisit him, after I take up my winter quarters in London.
