My dear Sir William,

I had great pleasure in receiving your letter of the 7th Inst, and have to thank you for the great kindness you shewed Donald, who I believe appreciated the and attention you all shewed him at Camden, and I was glad to hear from him that Mrs. Macarthur & Mrs. Onslow, as well as Capt. Onslow and yourself were all looking so well.  The murder of Stewart and suicide of Boyd must have given you all a great shock, but things that cannot be
