I trust we may all profit by such lessons painful though they be.

I am here for the last few weeks all alone, Mrs. Campbell & my youngest son being on a visit to Mrs. Wilson my Eldest daughter.  I however expect my son & his wife & child to come and spend some time with me.  My youngest daughter Mrs. Anderson lives on my property near Echuca, which Capt. Anderson rents from me.  Major Gordon with his wife & family are still at Portsmouth
