with my runs, it was so like his kind hearted actions.  I was afraid that he might have injured himself in exerting himself beyond his strength on my account.

Observing that a window is to be erected to his memory in the Camden Church by his friends, I beg to enclose a cheque for £25 and to request you to enrol me as a subscriber amongst them.  I shall be glad to hear whether a sufficient sum has been subscribed.  I read the funeral sermon by Mr. Tincombe  [Tingcombe] with great interest.  I trust you will forgive me for not sooner answering your letter, but the fact is I am a bad correspondent, and as there was nothing to communicate I deferred writing from day to day.  Besides I have not been altogether well for the last few months:  I have been suffering from the liver, and great indigestion,
