to the lower branch, where such can be done without violating any of our rights.  But there is a section of the opposition who held office under a former administration who are very extreme in their views against the Govt. and the result of their opposition in causing the recal of Sir Chas. Darling emboldens them in their opposition to the measures of the Govt.  I trust however that there are independent men enough amongst us who will be able to moderate their extreme views, and to prevent them from further marring the good name which we acquired last Session.  While I dissapprove of the recent acts of the majority of our council on the question of the coercion of the Govt. by the stoppage of the Appropriation Act, I condemn the delay of the Govt. in meeting the
