the summer tolerably well. I am sinking more wells, and am getting fair water in every place I sink, that is water that though too brackish for the men to use, does for the stock. I have about 37,000 sheep on these runs now, and I calculate that they consume a gallon a day each on an average, so with cattle & horses &c, I have to draw about 40,000 gallons a day from a depth of about 100 feet.
