of shepherding, but I hope now that the rain has set in that I shall be able to employ my men in making some improvements. The surface water in my deepest tank had all dried up, and the men were grumbling at having to use the brackish water of the wells, and if rain had not set in the consequences were likely to be serious.
From the heavy losses in stock I think sheep and cattle will be dear for some years to come & I think you should lose no time in stocking Camden again with sheep. A strong description to [indecipherable] lambs for the Sydney Market wd be most suitable, and upon the foul lands that have been cropped, sheep would better eradicate the grass
