moist seasons, and the stock on country subject to fluke are always delicate.  Altogether there will be a considerable decrease in the flocks of Victoria, S. Australia and Riverina, and I heartily congratulate you on not this year carrying out your intention of squatting in the salt bush country which has suffered the most from the drought, the whole of the immense plain of the interior is naturally of a dry arid nature and it suffers most in a season like this;  but I have never known stock to suffer half so much in winter as they did within the last 2 months.  A resident on the coast line of
