crops, but glad to hear that you had sustained so little damage from the great floods. We have had an uncommonly dry season.
Commercial and other interests are suffering dreadfully from the insane stoppage of Immigration otherwise the Colony would have been in a most flourishing state, as the gold fields are productive, and the value of the clip is more than ever. The land question is another difficulty. The unsettled state of that question has prevented me from investing in pastoral property.
