Even in my time Yorkie who liked what he called a 'CONTRAST' to cut bark, told me he had an ten, two ten & five 25 sheets of bark stripped for me.
Lots of people want to get the abo word for home. Their home was where there was most to eat, animals, birds, fish, yams, sugar bag, (honey of native bees COB-BI & GOUT-CHA). The local name for a camp is WEIBEHR.
An abo never dies a natural death, some enemy of the family being the cause of death. The natural enemy of the family of YELLOMAN native names YOWAR (his form of growling to frighten the youngsters) & GELENGELING fishing line (he was a keen fisherman) was a very decent old Abo called BONEY. The family were Yorkie, Polly, Sally, Tommy & Jimmy Murray (don't know where he got the Murray from as he was full blood Abo). Polly was the first to die & her ghost used to tell Sally things.
