(his head abo boy) found another mob at a big water hole. The dad got there first, & cut a man's head on the back of a big gum tree. Toby was very taken with it, & said GOLONGYL COBRA (good yellow head) & it was known as Cobra for many years, until some "know all " called it WOODVIEW or some such dam silly name.

Another name that has been altered is the MAIN CAMP waterhole in the 3 mile, BUG-UNOMA or BUG-ARN-MURNA meaning "picked up boomerang". (Bug-Un local name for boomerang).  It is now called KILLARNEY LAKE. It was one of the lakes of Killarney. The long water hole & others being in Killarney paddock Wadeleigh.

Alligator Flat is a new name. About 50 years ago a bridge carpenter who worked on the railway bridge over the flat "ALIGATOR BILL" who was supposed to get his name from the amount of beef he could wrap himself round.

Thirty odd years before that Jimmy Murray of GREENVALE, could not get a mob of sheep to go across the flat & thinking
