He got a tin whistle, & used to sit up on the front of the cart & play, Home Sweet Home, Two little girls in blue etc. Don't know how he managed it, but he used to sleep on the tail board of the cart, about 5ft by 15 to 18 inches resting on two logs under the cart. Bunda used to strip bark when it was extra wet, & we rested it on logs, & slept well with water underneath.

Got another hand in Dalby to take Bill's place, he had red whiskers so of course was called Ginger. The bullocks tho(ugh) very quiet did not like the chestnut whiskers at first, & there was always a gap in the mob near him for a few days.
