There were some very nice red cedar trees on COLOSSEUM creek (there still are) & they were cut & carted down to the saw mill at BAFFLE CREEK station, about 40 miles. They were exceptionally good cedar. A very big gum post that my father had put in for slip rails, & after was used to swing a gate on, rotted in the middle. It would have been quite easy to put another post in along side, but Mr Roe would have us dig it out, & it took five of us more than a day. The old draught
