poked her on the legs with spears thro the hoops. Many years afterwards MR PITTISON of MONTE CHRISTO & WADELEIGH came up to see us one day, as he used to do on his periodical trips to Wadeleigh. We were out mustering, & no one was about but Sally, & not knowing her, he asked her what her name was, & was very amused when she drew herself up to her full height (abt 5ft) & said me bin mother belong to Bunda. That was quite sufficient.
There were some very nice red cedar trees on COLOSSEUM creek (there still are) & they were cut & carted down to the saw mill at BAFFLE CREEK station, about 40 miles. They were exceptionally good cedar. A very big gum post that my father had put in for slip rails, & after was used to swing a gate on, rotted in the middle. It would have been quite easy to put another post in along side, but Mr Roe would have us dig it out, & it took five of us more than a day. The old draught
