& pulling down big trees, with the station bullock team, we had to work for our fun in those days. SEAWEED turned the tables on BARALLAN in the BRACELET but BARALLAN won THE BAG by a head after running a dead heat with NIDINE a nice chestnut mare bred in MILTON. Don't remember who won the PICNIC HANDICAP.

The third meeting was at RIVERSTONE & JIM McCOWANS GOLDSTONE won the BRACELET & also PICNIC HCP but weighed in 7lbs light, & the race went to F. NORTH'S horse TOM BELL'S NIMROD won the Ladies Bag, & HARLEQUIN a MILTON station horse was second.

By next year the membership had increased, & it was too big for any of the stations to take on, so we held a two days meeting in GLADSTONE. A very fine DALGANGLE mare PHOEBIE won the BRACELET, & the Picnic handicap with 13 stone up. Don't remember who was second in either. My old BARALLAN won the Ladies Bag. SNIP, STOWE bred being second.
