for LONG JIMMY, & he was told to take a mob of about 50 head to the Camp (ALEXANDER camp on the DUCKHAMS old homestead, now known as THE ESTATE) They were about four miles from home, & he was not seen again until they had got the mob of cows with calves they had cut out (camp drafted) near the yard. He had taken the whole mob, with some very young calves, & yarded them. He had never been on a horse before. They branded the calves & killed a beast next day, & Jimmy who had a big fellow feed of fresh beef, did not turn up until after the others had started out next day.   The hut keeper had been told to saddle up the quiet horse for him again, but Jimmy knew he had done something extra good,  & was not having any of the quiet old horse, but pointed to another one. The horse did not think the same as Jimmy, & sent him kite high. Jimmy lived to be an old old man, & was known as Miriam Vale Jimmy, but he never got on a horse again.
