This is being offered to the Mitchell Library today (in hopes that they will accept it), because it is our Beloved Queen Mary's 83rd birthday. She is no slave to fashion, & stillwears her pork pie hat that she looks so nice in. And because it is just 162 years & 4 months since Governor Phillip put the British flag up on Australian soil. My age is 81 years & 2 months just half of Australia's life as a colony. Early days of Pioneering at Miriam Vale & Port Curtis go back 97 years, 6 and a half years before Queensland was proclaimed as a state. Queensland is 90 and a half years old as a state & was only 30 and a half years old when the boys had their successful ?trip 60 years ago in the 1890 floods. There are no pure Abos at Miriam Vale now. Bunda of the droving trip he was the last, & died just after World War 1 of influenza which our fighting men brought back from France.
