Just where would we have to go to report? It was 30 miles off the road, no telephones in those days, & doubt if any of our horses would have carried anyone 60 miles. But don't take any notice of a man who roars, they wear themselves out.

BONDARRA was about 30 miles from where my Father lived, & he sent us a dozen fresh horses, & took our worst conditioned ones back to BOOROGONG.

The Father came along himself two days after, it was lunch time, & a nice sandy patch, & all of us boys with divil (sic) a boot to the lot of us, were hop step & jumping, but the cattle were all there except the lame one we had swapped for Charlie, & looked well.
