Here's another edition. I hope all this effort will compensate for the period during which I hadnt the chance to write. I am afraid you will not need to compare these letters with those I have just written to Bert or Ida because as I had the same news to tell them have written these letters almost word for word the same as my letters to Bert & Ida.
Things here have been the most trying possible lately, When I returned from London I found the Battery in a fearfully rotten position. Snow, frozen as hard as rock, lay on the ground 18 inches deep.
