I'm very glad I sent that note of Fred's to you now and I'm pleased that you agree with my remarks thereon.  As you say, he is a stirling and considerate kid but he was never manufactured for "a first-class fightin' man" as old Kip. said.  I intend looking very deeply into the whyfore of his not being on his way home, when I get over there and you bet I'll chuck my weight about some!
