Funny thing the Captains & Majors who attend the school at Shoeburyness are billeted at Wickliffe House and Queens Hotel, both splendid pubs that I [wot?] of on the sea front about 5 minutes round the corner from Bob's dugout at Thorpe Bay.  I don't think I'll tell him this as he's sure to be offended if I do not go and stay with him but under circumstances at present obtaining I can fully comprehend how difficult is must be for him to "box on" cheerily without any "hangers -  So I'll not say much about ot to him.  Probably Ill see
