I shall make another attempt at this rather rambling screed. Just as I am in the middle of writing I am called away & do not get the chance to have another go at it.
You say in your letter that the lace arrived in a bad condition. For that I am exceedingly sorry because it seems there are some things missing. You mention that there was a handkerchief for the Baby. As a matter of fact there should have been three - one good one & a couple of cheaper ones. I am awfully wild that I was foolish enough to leave the despatching of the lace to the owner of the shop instead of fixing same up myself.
Now dear Mater a mail goes out tomorrow so I shall finish this off now to catch it and start another letter with all my news so that I may be
