the couple of days we spent together.  We went to a couple of shows, saw the Guards change at Whitehall and St James Palace, & other sights.  I was awfully tickled at being saluted by those wonderful Lifeguardsmen who look more like Statues than soldiers and who undoubtedly know more about real soldiering than I've ever heard about.  Really I felt rather embarassed.  The day Fred was to return to Camp I went down to Horsham & Fred came down to the station to see me off.  I arrived at Horsham to find a motor awaiting me to drive me to Westbrook Hall a fine old ancestral home in a beautiful Park in the centre of the splendid Sussex scenery.  This is where Mrs Jopp's people live.  I think I told you that Major Jopp is my O.C. and that I met his wife last time I was on leave.
