This letter was started at the office, but shall have to finish same at home, owing to want of time.
Very sorry to hear, old chap, that the weather is still so trying out there. It is very similar here, & we are simply longing for better conditions, especially so that we can get our little son out more in the open air. He is in about the same state as when I last wrote, but the Doctor thinks that with care combined with as much outdoor life as possible, he will soon improve.
Am afraid you will think I am always writing in a doleful strain about one thing & another. Unfortunately I am not so well imbued with cheery optimism, as your dear old self.
Have this week received a couple of letters from your youngest brother & am real
