However according to her last letter it is her express wish & any wish of hers is agreeable to me so now Mater dear you may count on a second daughter. Doubtless this piece of news will interest and please you.
I cannot understand why Syd has not written you for so long. I shall certainly see that he does so regularly in future.
Fred's last letter to me dated over a month ago (2/6/18) reported that he was starting on 5/6/18 for Liverpool expecting a job as pay Sergeant on a transport to Australia and as I have received no further advice I have concluded that he is now well on his way. He was cabling you when he was certain of the berth so you doubtless already know of his position. This is a matter I set my heart on and worked on unceasingly for 8 months in every quarter I could think of so I am most happy that the desired result has been attained. Im sure Fred will be a power of help and comfort to you and the Pater at home.
