What's all this about sleeping out places for "when the Boys come home".  Dont you think this youth has had rather enough of the "outdoor life".  You talk about magnificient sleeping out accommodation to me who am at present out in the open shivering like a blanc-mange and yearning for a cosy bed in a cosy room at home.  You're a bit solid, arent you old chap?  My idea of this new home of yours is a kitchen & a dining room around which is a wide verandah under which beds may be placed.  But really I dont think I could tolerate indoors now despite the fact that Im fed up to the eyebrows with the open air treatment I am at present undergoing.

Thank you for fixing up those little matters for Ida, Maie & Aunts Alice & Mary.  Wasnt the Mater included in the list, though?  I have already received very nice letters from Ida Maie & Aunt Alice thanking me for X'mas presents I didnt know anything about at the time.

I note your remarks on the reason for the result of the Conscription Referendum.  This is a subject to which the saying "Least said soonest mended" may be applied with good reason I think.
