my sojourn in England. We had a ripping time together. We hired some splendid hunters, and, with some girls from the Western District, Victoria we went for a ride on the famous Rotten Row in Hyde Park. A rather funny episode happened this day which caused quite an unbecoming stir in that fashionable neighbourhood. Just for a joke Riggall & Staley and a couple of the girls, who ride excellently, had a race and were pulled up by a mounted trooper for galloping, a thing which we were not aware was against regulations. Of course you will quite understand that I didn't behave myself in such an outrageous manner, mostly because I was afraid of falling off, but sadly enough my prad apparently wasnt in the habit of standing by when there was a race on and so joined in
