sincerely trust, dear, that you'll still continue to go ahead and so very soon be completely restored to your former cheery & healthy self. This I would welcome more than anything else in the world. No doubt, dear, you are fed-up of doctors & hospitals, but of course you mustnt be impatient and independent, must you, Mater? Your fortitude throughout your long 12 months illness has been simply splendid and I can understand through all Ive heard that your recovery has been marvellous. Stick to it dear and I'm sure it shant be long ere you're writing me your old cheery letters & you're again your dear bright normal self!
You speak in anxious terms about the recent fighting & you ask how am I now. We certainly did have rather a strenuous time in spots but it was worth it all and everything is reasonably normal again now. For myself - well, as I said just now, Im as well & fit as ever and that's all that matters, isnt it? You neednt worry about Syd though Mater. He's OK & well away from the actual danger zone & in addition he has now
