correspondence I received some splendid letters – three charming ones from Con, a typical cheery note from Mr W.G. Smith, a couple from Bert, one from each Aunts Mary & Alice, Mr. Patterson, Pete, Stella Chapman, Wharekoa people & other friends - altogether ripping mail awaited me. By the way you didnt tell me that Aunt Mary had left Kilburn.  I have often noticed that you rarely mentioned her and yet you often mention Aunt Alice.  What's wrong?  Aunt Mary gives me some reason but it's too thin.  I've wondered for some time why I never heard of her & now curiosity makes me ask why.
