I am so glad you liked Stella Chapman. She is indeed a splendid girl.
Well Mater dear, as you will have learnt from my last letter to the Pater, I am going to a Battery Commanders School. I'm rather pleased in some ways 'cos it will be a splended change even though I'll have to work fearfully hard and swat every night but it will at least brush up all my theoretical work. And again I expect to be able to wangle a couple of week-ends "off" so that I can run up to London and see young Fred. I will look into matters and see what the hitch has been in connection with his return. If I dont work the oracle this time I'm a German
So sorry Mater dear I put this aside to finish it later and now the lights have been put out so I'll have to post it as it stands. I'll do better next time I hope. Tons of love dearest.
