What do you mean by "Where the -- is x?" I have grave doubts that you mean something rude. Far better to have said "Where the x is --?" Much more polite, you know. And by the way the Censor does not mind "Hell" being put in letters. No doubt he thinks that the upheaval there is only a minor affair compared with this business in which names of places are banned.
Now I have perforce to discontinue owing to other considerations. I know all that sort of thing sounds very mysterious but were I able to explain myself fully you would forgive me and even condole with me in my unhappy attempts to keep up correspondence.
