make a start, they travelled with all the family & stock, & two bullock drays to Rosedale. The Little family were never in a hurry, & they had two lambings on the Darling Downs at a place where ? went for a trip to the old country, & lent them his place if they looked after it. The trip took two (2) years. Monduran was the piece of country they expected to get, but a Mr Walsh? was in occupation there, so they tracked on to Rosedale.

Most of the way up two of the men had to go ahead & clear a track for the drays. When they had nearly completed their house (which was not on the present beautiful site of the homestead, overlooking NAROONIE lagoon & BAFFLE Creek), with Mt MARIA in the distance) a Mr GWYNNE came along from MARYBOROUGH with his bullock dray & furniture, & claimed that block of land belonged to him, (in July 1853).
