My dear Pater
Thanks muchly for your letter of 20th August received this a.m. The mail dated a week or so later beat this one to me by over a week.
No certainly I have raised no complaint against "train written" letters. Wherever or however letters are written matters little so long as they are written somehow.
Your report that the Mater is making such steady progress is satisfactory and pleasing indeed. Dr Farmer is apparently very attentive & considerate. It is good that your are able to obtain the services of an able specialist and it is good to note that he is satisfied with the Mater's improvement. All previous news naturally gave me much cause for anxiety.
