under Fred's supervision may be very beneficial to the lad. Fred is a particularly toughheaded and longsighted chap and I've a great respect & regard for his common horse sense.
I'm really pleased to note that you are taking a run up to Q'land and especially so, that it is to be on the same boat with Fred & Mr. W.G. Such a trip is undoubtedly what you must be in dire need of and I trust you'll derive the necessary benefit from it. It will be great for Fred to have your company also. As you suggest it will give you both ample opportunity for a long chat which would be otherwise impossible when the only time you are down from the country you spend in the city. And no doubt you both have heaps to talk about.
Yes, no doubt it was unfortunate that Fred had no home to go to on his arrival in Melbourne but under the circumstances it was far better that the
