26 Aug, 1916
And then he reached Et Maler
And started his advance
But found against Australia
He had no ------ chance.

He thought that with his rifles
He would easily get through
But found that these were trifles
To old Man Kangaroo.

He brought up reinforcements
And snipers by the score
But found this to his loss meant
Our rifles spoke the more.

He tried to get around us,
But here he tried in vain
And very soon he found us
In front of him again.

He cried out allah! allah!
As through him cold steeled seared
But discretion more than valor
So Allah disappeared.

And Abdul taking Allah
As leader good & true
He also did a 'yallah'
From the wily Kangaroo.
