for the next 2 hours a continuous column of Australian 3rd Divisional men & reinforcements of all units, as well as New Zealand troops, passed the King. By this time the weather had become worse & soon a steady downpour began giving most troops a wetting as they wended their way campwards. Very complimentary reports appeared in the papers based on the King's remarks. Our detail was not included in the review, & I did not go down to look on so my accounts were from others who had. The review took place on a Wednesday & the following Saty.
