7/6/16 (Thurs) Early morning - land plainly visible. We soon reach it and are on shore by 11.30 with 5 hours leave only. Dinner time finds us in Capetown sampling of their best. Capetown is a far larger and very evidently an older town than Durban. It is not nearly so pretty but seems to be much greater commercially. Nevertheless there are many beautiful buildings and the botanical gardens beside the city and showing off the Museum Art Gallery Public Library and Houses of Parliament
