We could see the cruiser approach & board her & soon a series of flashes from our warships side announced her doom, but apparently she was carrying timber for she still kept an even keel when we passed out of sight but the cruiser with her great speed soon rejoined and passed us as we were watching one of the numerous boxing matches we were entertained by at the time.
6/7/16 Early before breakfast we were met by four small torpedo boats of some kind. These tiny tots posted themselves each one at the bow of one of the transports, and the cruiser taking her departure
