I spent the afternoon with Mrs M, then took my leave for a few hours to view the city, & secure accommodation which I did most satisfactorily at the Campbell Hotel (Private Hotel) Bedford Place WC. I then returned for dinner to Mrs M's & there spent the evening with her and her entertaining daughter. Arriving back at my hotel I was soon asleep & so ended my first day in London.
25/7/16 Having overslept myself I partook of a belated breakfast & proceeded to Horseferry Road to meet a mate who didn't arrive, however. Then via the Bank of England I proceeded to the Tower Bridge
